cGmail (check gnome mail) is an email checker and notifier
applet for the gnome desktop written in python.
cGmail will check periodically your account/s and will notify
you on new incoming mails.
cGmail support gmail, pop3, pop3s, imap and imaps accounts.
I've used other mail notifiers for a lot of time but none of them fulfill my needs. So I've started coding cGmail that is a new shiny mail notifier that integrate well into gnome desktop.
cGmail can use gnome keyring to store your credentials for security enanchments or, if you want, you can use a plain text file. cGmail use gnome gconf to store its settings. The app can play sounds on new mails, so you are always alerted on new messages.
cGmail can use a fresh dbus notification to tell you that a new message is into your mail box.
Do you need an older version of cGmail? Why :)? Anyway go here
